A New Chapter: Gratitude for the Past and Excitement for the Future

After more than 20 years with STERIS, I am retiring to begin a new chapter in my professional journey.

June 5 marked my last day with the organization, and as I reflect on the past two decades, I do so with immense gratitude. What started as an opportunity to join STERIS as an Internal Audit Manager evolved into a rewarding career that included the privilege of serving as Vice President of Internal Audit & Compliance. Throughout that journey, I had the opportunity to work alongside exceptional colleagues, mentors, and leaders who challenged me, supported me, and helped shape both my professional growth and personal development.

I leave with many fond memories of the organization and feel blessed to have worked alongside so many incredible people. Together, we built a world-class internal audit, compliance, and analytics function that consistently delivered value, strengthened governance, and supported the company's continued growth and success.

What I value most, however, is not the titles or accomplishments. It is what we created together and the relationships we established along the way. The trust, collaboration, and shared commitment to excellence will always be among the most meaningful parts of my career.

While one chapter is closing, another is just beginning.

I am excited to announce the launch of JN Audit Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping organizations strengthen internal audit programs, improve risk management practices, enhance corporate compliance, and optimize internal controls. My goal is to leverage the experience and lessons learned throughout my career to help companies reduce risk, improve operational effectiveness, and navigate increasingly complex regulatory and business environments.

As organizations face growing challenges related to governance, compliance, cybersecurity, operational risk, and financial controls, having a trusted advisor can make a significant difference. Through JN Audit Consulting, I look forward to partnering with companies that want practical, business-focused solutions that create measurable value.

I am also pleased to announce the launch of our new website, which provides additional information about our services, expertise, and approach to helping clients build stronger organizations.

But, wait, there’s more! In addition, I am partnering with Manufacturing Resource Network, a group of highly experienced professionals providing interim operations and manufacturing management, process development and improvement, manufacturing and supply chain consulting, growth strategy, and project management services. This partnership allows us to offer clients a broader range of expertise and solutions that address both operational and governance challenges across their organizations.

Today's manufacturing and business leaders are expected to do more than ever before. They must manage risk, maintain compliance, improve operations, strengthen supply chains, and drive sustainable growth. By combining our capabilities, we can help organizations address these challenges with practical solutions and experienced guidance.

As I begin this next chapter, I want to thank everyone who has been part of my journey over the past 20 years. I am grateful for the friendships, mentorship, partnerships, and opportunities that have shaped my career. While I may be leaving STERIS, I look forward to staying connected with many of the people who made the experience so rewarding.
